An innovative open-source-based tool for
implementing e-learning applications
A Polish SME is specialised in poultry breeding. Within the last few years they were working on natural technology of
poultry breeding, maximally exploiting sun radiation energy for enhancing fertility in the poultry-house. The company is
looking for partners interested in implementation of the elaborated technology.
A small Israeli start up, has developed an improved method for intramedullary fracture fixation and limb elongation. The
intramedullary nail developed is operated by an external coil system, which allows controlled continuous elongation
according to requirement. The company is looking for collaboration with orthopaedic companies and financial support.
Israeli researchers have developed a software program to enhance catheterisation navigation that takes into account the
existence of movement in and around the heart, neutralising it to create a static image that truly reflects the position of the
arteries in relation to the catheter. It provides a “virtually frozen” heart and “frozen” arteries to aid in diagnosis and in
catheter navigation during invasive procedures. Catheterisation lab imaging companies are sought to license the technology.
A French laboratory developed a new process of rupture of liposomes, allowing the release of the substances specifically
encapsulated in stealth liposomes. They discovered that in the presence of a biocompatible substance, a membrane
carrying a stealth polymer protection could rupture, inducing the release of the liposomal content. The current work
includes optimisation of the liposomal composition and tests in “in vivo”-like conditions. They are looking for a company
for further development.
A small Romanian company, developing innovative (nano)biotechnologies applied on food industry offers friendly
technologies to separate the oleosome nanostructures from sea buckthorn or other fruits. The quality/price ratio in this case
is higher, and the benefits on health are even more significant. They look for partners interested in further development and
new applications. Type of partner sought: cosmetics or pharmaceuticals industry, dermatological clinics or wellness centres.
A small Danish biotech company has developed a universal principle for both expression, methylation, micro-deletion
profiling, and other applications including alternative promoter, splice variant profiling, alternative polyadenylation
profiling, fingerprinting of microorganisms, and monitoring of complex mixtures of microorganisms. A universal chip for
various applications has been designed. The company seeks partners for further development of applications and technology.
A Slovenian SME developed a Web-based application for online digital photo editing and ordering. It enables uploading
single jpg files and zip files with multiple jpg files packed as well as simple photo editing. No extra software installation is
needed - having Internet access and Web browser fulfils all requirements. They are looking for commercial agreement
with technical assistance or licence agreement.
A Dutch company developed an Internet application to trace and analyse supply chain conditions (like temperature and
humidity) for fresh supply chains. The system is based on the input of data loggers or RFID sensors. This system can be
used by for instance flower exporters. This system gives detailed insight in the conditions measured in the supply chain. The
company is looking for a commercial agreement with companies in fresh supply chains to improve their quality control.
A Finnish SME in the area of electronic design and production of farming machinery automation is offering its know-how
to new partners. The company concludes tailor-made R&D projects together with the clients in order to ensure both
appropriate design and practical usage of the final products, which can be fully tested e.g. for weather resistance. The
company is looking for technical and commercial agreements with farming machinery manufacturers.
A French SME has created and implemented highly accurate and exceptionally fast fingerprint recognition algorithms on different
platforms (PC, mobile and hardware embedded). These fingerprint recognition technologies are suitable for any physical access,
logical access, identity verification, or high-speed identification applications in consumer, government, healthcare, etc. This
French SME is searching for license agreement co-operations, commercial agreements with technical assistance.
A "CLAWAR" (International Network of Robotics technologies) SME offers a robot gripper with all capabilities of the
human hand: power, dexterity, lightweight and flexibility. It can be applied to standard robot systems, production lines,
hazardous operations and telepresence (simulating human presence remotely). The availability of a new design of
compliant actuator offers a breakthrough for such systems. Partners for development and possible end users are sought.
A Polish SME has developed a mobile integrated 3D measurement system. The device allows not only measurement, but
also advanced edition of measurement data without the necessity of buying additional software or hardware. For that
reason it is an optimum solution for engineers and Web designers. Partners are sought for technical co-operation and
manufacturing agreement. The company is also interested in financial resources for further product development.
A Spanish software company has developed a flexible system to facilitate companies full traceability of goods taking place
through the implementation of an end-to-end process, which extends from industry input used by the manufacturer
through to finished consumer product and vice-versa, including all stages of production, processing and distribution.
They are looking for license agreement or commercial agreement with technical assistance.
Central storage and systematic consistent structuring and distribution of images and documents is an increasing problem
for companies. An Austrian company offers a new software solution with features such as web-based accessibility,
platform independency, innovative and easy usability, online image manipulation and easy integration in common
desktop applications. The company is looking for partners for license or commercial agreements or further development.
A leading UK university has developed an electronic power converter design based on direct power conversion topology
that produces output voltages in excess of the conventional theoretical limit. Direct power converters do not require the
use of power capacitors, which results in a reduction in construction cost and increase in reliability. Also, output voltages
have the potential to exceed input voltage. The university is seeking partners to develop and exploit this technology.
A Spanish company focused on development of category management is composed of software engineers and consultants.
They have designed and developed a set of trade marketing management tools integrated among them. Its profile includes
specific software for space management, assortment optimisation, promotional efficiency, point-of-sales management,
commercial information analysis and store layout and analysis. The company is looking for license and commercial
agreements with technical assistance.
An Italian private and public consortium has developed a technical framework for improving the most common e-learning
solutions. Thus, by combining knowledge, learning and skill management technologies with artificial intelligence, the
product develops tailored content according to learner’s characteristics and competences. The consortium is looking for
partners, both industries and research centres for technical cooperation.
