A French start-up has developed a new technology (patented) of complex glazing for facades. Its
complex glazing is a half-transparent insulated glass with an integrated fixed Venetian blind and a
fully effective solar collector. It has to be integrated in the facade as a glass unit in standard windows
or facade profiles on the market (aluminium, wood or PVC). The company is looking for industrial
partners (glass or solar manufacturer) for technical co-operation or manufacturing agreement.
A Romanian inventor has realised an engine that transforms thermal energy into mechanical energy
(can also function to a difference of few ÆC). The engine, according to the ecological norms, is very
simple, robust, and reliable. The inventor is looking for companies that can be interested in future
development, testing and application.
An Estonian public university of technology has developed a low-cost method for manufacturing a
superstrate configuration solar cell with sprayed CuInS2 absorber layer. The university is seeking
partners for licensing agreement or to invest in further development of the technology.
An Israeli SME has developed a protection device for grid equipment to be installed in electric utilities
and substations, to stop fault current rise within a breakthrough 0.8mSec. This enables significant
grid equipment cost savings while improving grid uptime and reliability that results in electricity grid
power savings. Grid equipment/component manufacturers and engineering firms are sought for joint
ventures, funding or technical cooperation.
A Dutch SME has developed a safe and lightweight hydrogen storage device. This device is a “click and
go” storage concept for medium-size, mobile fuel cell applications. It consists of a reducer and safety-
featuring module mounted on a composite pressure cylinder. This combination opens a wide range of
fuel cell storage applications and market opportunities. The device enables safe and easy handling of
high-pressure gas. Partners are sought for joint further development of new applications.
A French company fromnorthern France finalised the design and construction of an innovative twin-screw
extruder. A pilot machine equipped with 45KWmotor has been built. The machine allows improvements in
several aspects of the extrusion process. A fully computerised system has also been developed to control
the process from the feeding hopper to the discharge of the extruded product. The French company is
looking for technical cooperation or a commercial agreement with technical assistance.
A Latvian research institute has developed a new technology for underwater cleaning of ship hull
from the sea residue. The technology is based on targeted high-voltage plasma discharge impulses,
without injury to ship hull paint coating. The technology is cost-competitive. Partners interested in
technical cooperation in further development of technology and in licensing are requested.
Researchers at a university in the East of England have developed a coating technique that can be
used to create self-cleaning surfaces. The university is looking for partners for joint further
development and/or licensing of this technology.
A German SME develops force controlled manufacturing processes according to customer
requirements. Finest processing method, which can remove the cone points of relatively rough
surfaces with a short-stroke movement of the centre punches and consequently increases the
percentage contact area of the surfaces. The potential partner should be interested in applying that
technology to specific requirements for an efficient and very precise surface.
A Scottish SME has developed a prototype for a releasable towing attachment for a vehicle, for
example a forklift truck that has a movable manipulating arm. The device is designed to operate with
vehicles that have a substantially rigid body and a towing member. The towing member is coupled to
the load via the releasable towing attachment. The company is looking for industrial partners
interested in further development, manufacturing, and distribution into a variety of markets.
An Italian company active in the disability and ergonomy sector (design, production and commerce of
technical support devices) proposes an innovative clothing article that minimises the negative effects
on the spine due to the weight of foetus in pregnant women. The functionality of this piece of clothing
has been proved by medical test, according to stringent scientific protocols. The society is looking for
commercial agreements/partnership with technical assistance or manufacturing agreements.
A Portuguese company has as main area of activity the development and characterisation of
materials such as: Fibre Reinforced Concrete (FRC), Self-Compacting concrete (SCC), Steel Fibre
Reinforced Self-Compacting Concrete (SFRSCC), High Strength Concrete (HSC) and High Performance
Concrete (HPC). The company is seeking partners active in prefabrication and/or rehabilitation for
different co-operation possibilities.
A French SME developed a system of pipe with variable rigidity: it is compound of a flexible tube that
can adopt two states: a flexible state that could be handled and directed, and a rigid state. The flexible
pipe could be blocked into rigid state with electrical command. Industrial applications are possible for
the bathroom and domestic industry, handicapped persons and the paramedical area. The concept
could be adapted to other needs. The company is seeking for licensing.
A Dutch company offers a technology by which fly ash and industrial inorganic residues are
processed into a lightweight granulate. The granulate can be used in building materials as natural
gravel replacement. In view of more stringent environmental legislation on the disposal of residues
and the increasing public resistance against the development of new quarries, this technology offers
a perfect solution. Partners are sought to promote and implement this technology.
A UK-based environmental company has developed an innovative system that crushes used fluorescent
tubes quickly and safely on site. The patented EC-marked system improves the health and safety of
workers and minimises the bulk of used lamps at customer premises before removal to the recycling
plant. Advantages include ease of use, reduced storage and minimal environmental emissions associated
with transport. The company seeks partners active in the collection/recycling of fluorescent tubes.
