An Italian group of private researchers has developed a small device to make all kinds of mechanical manufacturing
duties and flexible to any kind of production requests. This device is multi-functional, compact, safety systems integrated.
Moreover, it's a reliable, low-cost and high-precision device with low costs for maintenance and easy resetting. Financial
resources, further research support and manufacturing agreement are sought.
A Finnish SME has developed fast ballistic protection for mobile troops, which is a lightweight modular fragment
protection system consisting of two kinds of panel modules, squares and triangles. Numerous different protecting
structures can be built up from them. Partners from different fields of industry are being sought for development of
further applications and exploitation of the existing know-how.
A UK company has developed a hydraulic bolt that can be tightened easily and accurately without using torque wrenches.
It can be tightened just by pumping it to a design pressure using a high-pressure grease gun or a high-pressure oil pump.
The mechanism is totally sealed and protected enabling the bolt to be checked and re-tightened at any time after
assembly providing an unparalleled new level of maintainability. The company is looking for partners to license the
technology.
An Italian multidisciplinary company, in collaboration with other research institutes, developed & upgraded two aircraft
remote sensing systems. This innovative technical solution can be used for different applications in environmental fields
such as cartography (land use, land cover classifications); forest fire mapping; forest and crops monitoring, water
pollution monitoring. The company looks for collaboration with private and public bodies needing to acquire and manage
environmental geo-data.
German scientists have developed a statistics-based technology to measure the flow velocity of liquids in open channels
(e.g. wastewater streams). Two laser beams immersed into liquids illuminate two measurement columns. The
backscattered light signals observed in different depths are used as inputs in a time correlation evaluation scheme. This
results in precise contactless measurement technology for liquids. Technical co-operation is sought for further
development to a marketable product.
A Portuguese company from the stainless steel sector possesses secret know-how to treat materials and produce steel
parts for cookware and other sectors. With these skills on tooling and moulding process compensation, and using rubber,
pressing, conformation and stamping processes they can produce pieces with innovative design and high ergonomics.
Companies from the steel products sector are sought, to produce in cooperation new and innovative pieces and/or
products of steel or other metals.
A Portuguese company has developed a new packaging system for wooden boxes. The system is fully automatic, flexible
and has low costs of production. The equipment can be used to pack fruits, vegetables, wines or other kinds of products,
in different sizes and shapes of wooden boxes. SMEs from the agrofood, wine or other interested sectors (in this case
company offers technical assistance: engineering and technical consultancy and training) and also construction
equipment companies are sought.
A French independent inventor has developed a conveyor with the purpose of transporting PET bottles for blowing and
packaging installation systems. This technology offers higher speed than all pulsed air conveyor systems. The maximal
speed for the air conveyor is about 24 Km per hour and above 300 Km per hour for the linear motor. The inventor is
looking for a partner to industrialise and sell the conveyor on the market (with technical consultancy if needed).
A French SME, specialised in the design of automation solutions has developed and patented a new system to automate
conventional storage warehouse using existing storage racks and forklift carts. It is looking for partner abroad in the field
of logistic equipment to license the commercialisation of the technology.
A UK university has developed an improved method of producing hydrogen storage material that avoids HVBM (High
Velocity Ball Milling). They have also developed a new hydride material suitable for cyclic hydrogen storage and a method
for storing hydrogen. The university is looking for license agreements.
A Romanian R&D organisation, with expertise in coatings, paints, enamels, varnishes and anticorrosion products,
developed a new anti-fouling paint for ships. This paint might be used for both manufacturing and repair shipyards of
river and sea ships. The main advantages of the paint are: reduced quantity of released toxic (biocide) substances in the
aquatic environment and reduced time for painting on dry dock. The company is looking for partners for technical co-
operation or license agreement.
An Israeli SME has developed a new solution for transference of raw materials to remote locations via pneumatic
conveyance. Advantages over conventional methods include efficiency, small size and system-wide cost reduction. The
company is looking for strategic partners interested in using the technology offered (manufacturing/marketing the
product etc.).
A Hungarian SME offers eye trainer spectacles made of plastics. The device can be used to rest the tired eyes and to delay
the ageing process of the eyes. The product is manufactured in small series, but the company would like to introduce its
mass production and marketing. A cooperation partner is required for product design to scale up production. The
company prefers technical cooperation or license agreement.
A French SME has the know-how and license for the 3D marking on any type of support using a system of stencil
combined with serigraphy (screen printing) techniques. This company is now looking for partners to sub-license this
technology to other marking enterprises in Europe.
A Spanish research institute has patented a new method for the preparation of low cost catalytic briquettes for the
reduction of NOx. Catalytic briquettes can be prepared using petroleum coke ashes. They are efficient even at low
temperatures and have low pressure drop and an easy elaboration procedure. These features make the product interesting
for the chemical industry, energy and environment preservation sectors. The institute is looking for industrial partners to
license agreement.
A SME in Saxony/Germany is offering a new technology in the field of composite materials. Its main business is coating of
ceramic high-performance fibres for production of fibre-reinforced ceramic and metallic composites. Fibre-reinforced
ceramics are used in the area of mechanical engineering for such components that cannot be made satisfactorily from
metallic materials. The company is looking for technical co-operation.
A large Spanish engineering company has designed a system able to recover liquids with lower density than seawater at
great depths. Floating craft that has the capability to submerge and manoeuvre until positioning itself over and near to
the wreck and collect liquids, when the amount recovered reaches a preset limit, rises to the surface from where the
liquid collected is transferred to a vessel for transport. The company is seeking partners for license agreements.
