A Slovenian inventor has patented a shoe sole with movable built-in anti-slipping elements, which prevent slipping in the
most extreme conditions, such as on ice and snow, or any other surfaces giving a possibility to slip. He is looking for
partners interested in further development of industrial applications and license agreement.
A Finnish company has developed sub-mm imaging technology based on antenna-coupled bolometers which are sensitive
enough for passive detection of sub-mm wave radiation for example in security screening applications. Partners are
sought for development of further applications and to exploit the existing know-how.
An Italian research centre, involved in R&D activities on solar thermal concentrators technology, has developed and
realised a radiometer, which can be used for the measurement of the high irradiances produced in linear thermal
concentration. Organisations operating in the optics or photovoltaic cells field are sought for technical cooperation,
license or manufacturing agreement.
An Italian research centre, involved in R&D activities on photovoltaic technology, has developed an innovative camera,
which is able to record the image of light scattered by a diffusive sample, in particular by textured samples, giving
qualitative/quantitative information about the light diffusion properties of a surface. Organisations operating in the
optics or photovoltaic field are sought for technical cooperation, license or manufacturing agreement.
An Italian group operating in the field of design, manufacture and sales systems for the processing of fresh and
transformed fruits and vegetables wants to offer its technologies for new industrial sectors. The technologies offered are:
optical identification of defects on products moving on a line at a very high speed, on-line weighing system at a speed of
20 pcs/sec, and conveying and grading systems for delicate items. The company is looking for commercial agreement with
technical assistance.
A Spanish company located in the Canary Islands has developed a system generator of vapour that, located on a half-
trolley, causes its mobility and, through supplying elements, is used for cleaning and degassing, mainly within the
petrochemistry industry. They are looking for license agreements.
A Portuguese company in the field of development of packaging technologies and machinery has developed a new
equipment to be integrated in a cardboard box packages production line. The last stage of the line can terminate a high
number of boxes very fast, increasing the speed of the entire line. Industries from the packaging sector are sought, in
order to cooperate in final tests and produce the equipment on a large scale.
The UK Ministry of Defence has commissioned the development of a chemical treatment for enhancing bond strength of
glued systems. This technology is being commercialised under license by a service-based SME. Advantages over
conventional systems include ability to bond to inert and porous surfaces, and maintenance of bond strength in wet
environments. The company is looking for industrial partners to undertake development of adhesive systems and testing
in their applications.
A Spanish technological centre has developed a unit to carry out pilot tests in order to clean soils affected by light
hydrocarbons spillage by vapour extraction and bioventing techniques. Its aim is to facilitate obtaining the data necessary
to design the decontamination systems according to the properties of each site: number of extraction and venting
boreholes, soil horizons that can be ventilated together, time for the treatment. Joint venture agreements and marketing
agreements are requeste
A Spanish technological centre has developed a unit to characterise from the hydro geological point of view low
permeability formation and to take water samples in borehole sections isolated between packers. The unit allows carrying
out hydraulic tests (pulse, slug and water injection, extraction test) in boreholes until 500 m depth. It can be of interest
for engineering companies in charge of making hydro geological studies. Joint venture agreements and marketing
agreements are requested.
A Turkish SME has developed an innovative treatment system for olive mill wastewater (OMWW). In this process, olive mill
wastewater is treated by physical, chemical and advanced oxidation treatment methods. BOD5 (Biological Oxygen Demand
for 5 days), COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand), oil-grease, phenolic compounds and SS (Suspended Solids) can be removed
by 95 - 100%. The company is looking for a license agreement or commercial agreement with technical assistance.
A Spanish company located in the Canary Islands has developed a mechanisation system that consists of a combination and
integration of elements for visualisation and detection of fire/ heat, and the autonomous and automatic movement against
fires towards the place of the ignition that, through a convergent/divergent nozzle extinguishing the flame from inside
because of excess of oxygen. They look for partners for technical cooperation, manufacturing and commercialisation.
A small Dutch company developed environment-friendly additives to inhibit salt precipitation and/or corrosion in cooling
water systems. Traditionally, non- or hardly degradable compounds, e.g. zinc, polyacrylates and phosphonates have been
applied. The company has succeeded in exchanging such compounds for biodegradable alternatives. The company is
looking for commercial agreements with technical assistance.
An Italian company, leader in the sector of agricultural machinery manufacturers, is offering a new and innovative
environmentally friendly method for soil treatment, which eliminates most of the pathogens that attack crops,
regenerates soil and allows to obtain an abundant harvest without damaging the environment and it’s considered as an
effective alternative to methyl bromide. The company is looking for a commercial or a joint venture agreement.
An Israeli expert group on accessibility has developed an information system for analysis and decision support for the
evaluation of the accessibility of existing facilities to the elderly and to people with disabilities. The system is used to
provide consistent, updated, reliable and objective information for the tourism industry as well as for accessibility audits
of public facilities. Partners are sought for the development of further applications and to exploit the existing know-how.
