A Dutch company has developed a method to produce very accurate and small parts in technical ceramics.
Expensive post-machining can be excluded or will be reduced to the minimum depending upon requested
tolerances. Partners are sought for implementing this method and material for their applications.
A Spanish research institute has applied a patent for a new device to measure hanging length and perpendicularity
or squareness in any kind of building material, independently of their geometry, provided with nibs, which may be
applied to concrete roofing tiles, clay roofing tiles or tiles of other materials. The institute is looking for industrial
or laboratory partners for a license agreement.
A German SME offers construction elements for ceilings made of folded steel plates. The elements can be produced
with maximum dimensions of 6000 * 1500mm (tolerance < 1mm), the strength can be adapted to specific
requirements. The prefabrication allows a significantly reduced building time, integration of water pipes and other
supply lines can be realised, avoiding loss of space. The company is looking for architects, engineering and
construction companies interested in the application.
A small Romanian research company has developed a fluorescent tube, its realisation procedure and its lighting
source. Main advantage: lighting efficiency 150~250 lm/W, twice that of the fluorescent tubes at present. Type of
partner sought: technical co-operation with a research organisation for developing, license agreement, joint
venture or manufacturing agreement with a producer from the lighting field for manufacture and distribution of
this kind of tubes.
A UK SME has developed a coloured plaster for buildings using natural, non-toxic pigments. The core technology is
patented, and the company is now looking for companies capable of manufacturing the plaster under license.
Companies keen to reduce heat during industrial mixing will also be interested in this technology, with the
possibility of generating additional intellectual property (patents & know-how).
A UK-based product development company has produced a unique self-maintaining safety lamp for road traffic use
in all kinds of weather. The safety lamp utilises extremely low-power state-of-the-art electronic circuitry to pulse
ultra-bright LED lamps and re-charge automatically from its integral photovoltaic module during daylight hours.
The company is seeking collaborative partners, within the EU for license.
A Slovakian research institute has developed a new ferro-fluid. It is composed of 3 basic components: basic liquid,
solid magnetic material, and the stabilising agent. Ferro-fluid is a special medium, and its production and density
are adjustable under magnetic field. They are looking for partners for joint venture agreement, license agreement
or marketing agreement.
A Slovakian research institute has developed new prevention equipment that can be used to interrupt the flow of
liquid or gaseous media (oil, gas, salt water, or their mixture) in pipelines, especially in colonies of geological
holes. The prevention equipment can be installed at the throat of pay holes as well as new-built holes. They are
looking for partners for joint venture agreement, license agreement or marketing agreement.
A Slovakian research institute has developed a new density regulator. It is used to measure, adjust and stabilise the
selected (required) densities of liquids of various physical-chemical properties in laboratory and operation
conditions. They are looking for partners for joint venture agreement, license agreement or marketing agreement.
A Swedish inventor has developed a new bolting technique for door and window frames, with the purpose of
improving safety and burglary prevention in buildings. The bolts can be mounted from either side of the frame of a
door or window, and they can also be used as replacement of older fastening components. The invention is
protected by two patents. The inventor is interested in licensing agreements with manufacturers of parts and tools
for the building and construction industries.
An Italian university researchers team provides an environmental station that measures meteorological data:
temperature, wind velocity and direction, humidity, pressure, rainfall and solar radiation data with high
acquisition rate. The team has also experience in building semi-empirical models for solar radiation prediction at
ground. The researchers are looking for partners for technical cooperation or commercial agreement with technical
assistance.
A research group of an Italian university has developed a stabilisation and local control system for the set-up of
holographic gratings. The device is easy to use, cheap, and allows measuring the stability of the interference
patterns. The researchers are looking for a manufacturing agreement.
LDL-BDC (low-density lipoprotein baseline diene conjugation) is a novel clinically applicable method for direct
determination of oxidised lipids in circulating LDL. This assay is fast & simple to perform in clinical laboratories. A
prepared and validated prototype of reagent kit for the LDL-BDC assay already exists, and it is possible to develop
the methodology into a laboratory analyser. A Finnish company operating in diagnostic industry is sought for
further development, marketing and selling.
