A German private inventor has developed and designed a novel chess game to be played by up to 4 persons. The
game bears the basic idea of chess but unlike traditional chess it can be played in teams where players support
each other, communicate and develop a common strategy. The inventor searches preferably a publishing company
interested in marketing and distributing the game as well as for a partner who will produce it. The chess set should
be made of wood or stone.
A UK inventor has developed a concept for a single-piece plastic device to enable young children to independently
secure any type of lace-up footwear while still learning to tie laces conventionally. The device, which can be easily
& cheaply injection-moulded, would also be of interest to others involved in sporting activities & has applications
as an industrial safety product. Partners interested in financing further development of this device, its production
& marketing are required.
A Dutch research institute developed a high carbon nanofibre (CNF) with a high surface area. The institute is able
to prepare in one step CNF bodies of 1.2 _m that have a bulk density of 0.9g/ml and a bulk crushing strength of
1.2MPa. This makes these materials suitable for fixed bed applications and possibly for slurry-phase applications.
The institute is looking for a company with expertise in the field of catalysis, which is interested in application of
the technology in its own product.
A German engineering SME has developed a software tool for adapting cities, regions and economic areas to
changes. Two examples for necessary application are climatic and demographic change. The company looks for
partners e.g. in the field of adaptation strategies and sustainable development, research groups to demonstrate or
to put their results into practice. Partnerships sought for joint venture agreements and commercial agreement
with technical assistance.
An Italian SME offers a Modular Air Filtering and Sterilising System, to prevent aeromicrobial growth in
refrigeration and air conditioning equipment. It uses an air filtering system to abate airborne microbes and
disperse and permanently deactivate microorganisms suspended in confined spaces. The simple, cost-effective
invention offers a better solution than existing systems. They seek partners to further develop and commercialise it
via a commercial agreement with technical assistance.
A protective mask has been developed by a Czech manufacturer upon request of the Chemical Unit of the Czech
Army. The offered protective mask provides a high level of protection against NBC danger (Nuclear, Biological and
Chemical). The unique design of the viewing field is compatible with the military optical devices, which allows its
usage also for army specialists. The company is now looking for license or joint venture agreement.
A Swedish SME company has developed a concept and equipment for efficient compaction of ensilage in ground silo
warehouses or for compaction of waste on controlled refuse dumps. The invention offers improved efficiency,
profitability and enhanced environmental benefits. The product is on the Swedish market. Partners sought, for
commercial agreement with technical assistance and/or licensing, are companies or communities working with
ground silo warehouses as well as controlled waste dumps.
A German company is offering a patented MBT system to be used on landfills all over the world. Gas emissions and
water seepage are reduced by 95%, waste volume is reduced considerably, 55% of the waste mass can be returned
to the material and energy cycle, elimination of offensive smells, bird nuisance and wind-blown paper. The
company is interested in licensing, training, quality control, joint venture.
A Belgian company offers a solution for non biodegradable waste water flows. The technology uses plasma
produced in a pulsed-corona discharge reactor to crack the difficult compounds in the waste water so that it
becomes suitable for biological treatment. The company is looking for potential users of this technology, e.g.
companies facing waste water biodegradability problems.
A Welsh SME has developed a packaged sewage treatment system for use by domestic and commercial customers
for discharge into the natural environment. The company is looking for organisations within the water and waste
water industry for collaborative partnerships for joint venture and/or manufacturing agreement.
