A research group from a public Spanish university has developed software called Solution Builder that classifies the catalogue retrieved
from the providers to select the offers that best fit with the user requests. The offers will be coming from different providers, and in this
sense the Solution Builder acts as a broker for the user. The group would like to contact companies involved within the e-commerce for
further research and for implementing the technology.
A German company developed an innovative method to produce a pea-starch-based biopolymer, which is completely soluble in cold
water. The new biodegradable and compostable starch derivate with excellent swelling and diffusion properties provides an improved
paper coating composition for ink jet printing applications or a layer of packaging for greasy products. They are looking for partners
producing the starch derivate and/or apply it to certain products.
An Estonian inventor is offering an idea to modify the set-up of cutting edges in the case of domestic and agricultural cutting machines.
The solution enables, without lessening the device's perfomance, to reduce significantly the engine and transmission load, as well as the
unwanted «beating» effects. The inventor is looking for a manufacturer of this cutting equipment who would be interested in
implementing his idea.
A Lithuanian company has developed and patented a gearwheel mechanism for the transformation of rotary motion into rectilinear
motion and vice versa. It is applicable to all mechanical units using connecting rod mechanisms (e.g. internal combustion engine).
The breakthrough concept offers simplicity of design, reduced physical size and weight of mechanisms, efficient operation. The
company is looking for licensees or partners willing to develop specific applications.
A French company, specialised in developing industrial labelling equipments, has implemented an automatic labelling application. This
tool is remote-controlled and allows fast labelling of short series at the end of the conditioning or packing lines. This applicator can be
used for products having various sizes, heights and widths. The SME wishes to conclude manufacturing agreements or commercial
agreements with technical assistance.
A German company specialized in the development and manufacturing of mills has a new grinding technology. That newly developed
technology achieves an optimal particle shape of the material to be crusted in consideration of a high throughput. The prospective
partner should be user of grinding/crushing technology or should be an agent for such technology.
A Swedish SME has developed a novel piezo electric micro motor for demanding positioning and related tasks. The motor has a broad
application base ranging from industrial automation to medical devices. Technical cooperation with R&D departments in leading
industrial manufacturing companies.
An Israeli SME has developed a new type of electrode holder for manual arc welding by covered electrodes. The main advantages over
conventional holders are: quick replacement of electrodes, reduction of interruption time during welding process, improvement of
work conditions of welders and quality of welds. The company is looking for industrial partners interested in manufacturing the holder.
A Greek technological development company has developed and studied a whole family of ceramic materials with high refractoriness
and tailored-made thermal expansion behaviour. The company now seeks partners for technical co-operation, license or interested in
purchasing the know-how.
An Israeli researcher has developed Smart Windshields, a technology used for the production of transparent (with more than 80%
visiblity) windows that generate heat using electric power for use in vehicles to rapidly remove ice from windows in cold weather. The
researcher is interested in partners that manufacture windows for the automotive sector to incorporate this technology in their
products.
A small Italian company has developed an innovative system to insert glass into a frame in an easy way. The system is suitable for
aluminium, plastic or wood profiles. Main advantages are: three closed sides and only one panel at the bottom, time and cost saving,
systematic and all incorporated. The company is looking for commercial agreement with technical cooperation and license agreement.
An SME based in Germany has developed the plasma source HCD-P 100 and with it the extremely thin diamond-like carbon (DLC)
coating `DiaStentìã. It completely covers the inner and outer lumen of a metallic cardiovascular stent and thus prevents the
undesirable release of metal ions to the organism. They seek industrial partners.
A Swedish SME has started production of a micronite-coating based on friction materials in the coating as well as dedicated chemical
reactions which will give the coating harder coating with lower friction and enhanced corrosion resistance. A wide range of hard
surfaces, particularly in the electronic equipment and medical instruments areas, can be coated. Industrial partners interested in
expansion of the manufacturing services are preferred.
A Dutch company that is active in the aerospace and process industry offers new metal alloys that resist higher temperatures than
current alloys. This new metal alloy has a self-repairing surface layer out of chrome or aluminium oxide, which is one of the several
striking properties of this alloy. The company is looking for industrial partners who can benefit from the application of high
temperature resistant materials in their products or processes.
A Greek SME subsidiary of a large group of construction companies in Greece has developed a new method of manufacturing and
applying stirrups for the reinforcement of concrete load bearing building elements. The main advantage of this technology is that in
cases of intense seismic loading, an improved reaction of the structure is warranted. The technology is also attractive due to economical
profits. The company seeks commercial agreements, submission of R&D projects and promotion.
